Jonathan LaRon Skinner Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Jonathan LaRon Skinner Memorial Scholarship was established by the family and friends of Jonathan LaRon Skinner in 2010 in memory of Jonathan to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will pursue a full-time undergraduate degree from an accredited post-secondary institution. Scholarships will be applied to the cost of undergraduate tuition, fees, room and board, and other college expenses.

Jonathan LaRon Skinner graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School where he lettered in basketball and football and received numerous athletic awards including 1996-1997 Varsity Basketball Team Most Valuable Player, 1996-1997 Winston-Salem Journal All Northwest Basketball Team, and 1996-1997 Central Piedmont 4-A Conference Player of the Year.

Our Impact

Since 2010 The Jonathan LaRon Skinner Memorial Scholarship’s have awarded over $20,000 dollars in scholarship funding to graduating high school seniors.
